| The ancient villages are regarded as a significant treasury of Chinese local culture and national culture. It consists of much cultural wealth concerning history, civilization, art, science, sociology and so on. With the development of the society and economy, the renovation of villages has been quite common. Many villages had been homogenized by globalization and modernization. The historical memories of villages——the feelings of nostalgia have disappeared over the years. Fortunately, a small amount of villages survived it because of the blocked traffic and lagging economy, basically keeping the original space forms and structural elements and becoming our rare cultural highlights. However, they are also faced with the challenge of being eliminated by urbanization construction today. How to preserve the precious historical memories within a village when it is going through updating is a serious issue we must face. These memories are instantiated by some certain spatial forms and physical elements. Therefore, the preservation and continuation of the ancient villages should be based on the study, analysis and summary on their spatial form and material elements.In this paper, the author uses Yangjiagou village as the research object and attempts to explore the intrinsic spatial characteristics of the village. First, a research of background, type, influencing factor, constituent elements of morphological and constituent elements of substance are summarized as the theoretical basis of this paper. Secondly, by reading literatures and researching historical, the background and factors, affecting the form of Yangjiagou ancient village space, were analyzed and summarized, so seeking internal factors space formed. Finally, the conclusion has made after the characteristics of spatial forms, materials and culture were being discussed.It is a basic of yangjiagou village protection, and also provides some theoretical basis about the contents, level and ways on methodological for our understanding of ancient villages spatial characteristics. |
