People-oriented philosophy of life have become increasingly prominent, people’s own lives increased comfort requirements but also increasingly focused on indoor thermal comfort housing problem, followed by the energy consumption of residential buildings by improving indoor thermal environment needed for growing. And the large number of existing residential buildings, and the majority of maintenance of the structure does not meet the energy requirements. Based on this, we considers the thermal comfort of the structural transformation of existing residential building envelope research.This article firstly reviews and summaries the research progress at home and abroad of energy-saving of existing residential buildings and thermal comfort of residential, puts forward analyzing and solving the problem retrofit of Existing Residential building energy efficiency in Xi’an on the perspective of thermal comfort.Second, the basic situation of actual research from 1980 to 1999’s existing residential buildings in Xi’an, summarized the characteristics of this type of building maintenance structure; the actual measurement of such residential buildings in summer, winter indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, and the residents of these residential buildings questionnaires, analyze their subjective feeling of thermal comfort, indoor comfort and analyze the temperature range in Xi’an summer and winter. Finally, on the basis of the existing building envelope energy efficiency standard practice, combined with the maintenance of the structure itself selected residential status of several rehabilitation programs to determine its envelope, using ECOTECT energy simulation software to establish energy simulation model for various rehabilitation programs energy simulationanalysis; on this basis, the various energy-saving programs and economic benefit analysis of thermal comfort, thermal comfort and overall economic benefits to choose the best energy-saving programs.Based on a practical research-based indoor comfort temperature range of 80 to 90 years in Xi’an existing residential buildings to maintain existing residential building energy-saving structure ECOTECT energy simulation and energy-saving benefit analysis, provide the basis for Existing Residential Building Energy Saving Schemes for existing residential building energy efficiency, comfort provided new ideas, but also for the healthy and orderly development of residential construction and related industries to provide some reference.
