The reform of the electric power industry has entered a new stage in recent years. There’s no doubt that the electric power industry brings new challenges. Furthermore, the huge cost of power transmission project and complex construction process lead to the increasing numer of risk in construction. To tighten up the risk management of transmission and transformation project can reduce the cost of enterprise and improve the investment income.This article gives the definition of risk and construction risk, and some existing risk assessment methods. Then analytic hierarchy process is introduced in detail. After that, the power transmission project risk identification method and inherent risks are presented according to the characteristics of power transmission and transformation engineering. And the LEC risk evaluation method is introduced. Finally, an evaluation method basde on AHP and LEC method is presented.Shanxi Jinbei-Jiangsu Nanjing ±800kV extra-high voltage DC transmission line project is taken as an example to verificate the method in this paper. After preliminary screening the inherent risk in the project, we quantify the risk of the construction process. Then the weight ratio for each construction risk in different construction stages is given. Reasonable resources allocation and the corresponding risk control measures are presented based on the ratio.In this article, the construction risk evaluation system of power transmission project is given, and the construction risk is directly displayed by the straight pipe. After that safety risk pre-control measures in power transmission project are presented. It is conducive to prevent the occurrence of construction site safety accidents.
