Research On Herbaceous Flowers Applied In Urban Roads Of Yueyang City

Since early 2013, "Flowery Street" project have made breakthrough progress in herbaceous flowers applied in urban roads of Yueyang city. The landscape quality of the main urban roads in Yueyang Tower District has been significantly improved and the overall development. Therefore, based on the field investigation and construction practice within the range, this paper mainly analyzed and summarized its applications. The research results are as follows:Firstly, for the first time analyzed the whole environment of the herbaceous flowers’ growing sites which used in urban roads of Yueyang Tower district, and presented its existence poor soil conditions, rapid temperature changes, uneven illumination, air pollution and other issues.Secondly, conducted a field investigation and practice on the herbaceous flowers used in the 15 main urban roads in January 2013 to March 2015, summarized the types of herbaceous flowers in different parts of green road, and summed up its practical application of herbaceous flowers 80 kinds,which belong to 64 species and 30 families.Thirdly, summarized the application forms of herbaceous flowers used in uban roads of Yueyang city, including flower beds, terraced flower beds, flower shrubs, flower ribbons and flower borders, and analyzed the landscape and configuration features of herbaceous flowers under different forms.Fourth, analyzed the abundance and frequency, type characteristics, timing, color and growth conditions of the applied herbaceous flowers, and summarized the construction of the herbaceous flowers combining with practice.Fifth, summarized the advantages and disadvantages of its application, proposed its selection principles and spieces; finally provided the application modes of herbaceous flowers used in the main part of urban roads green.According to the application of herbaceous flowers used in urban roads of Yueyang city, its growing environment, application types, configurations and construction practices are analyzed and summarized, in order to provide a reference for the application research on herbaceous flowers used in urban roads of Hunan province.
