| In terms of the use of herbs and flowers on the Zhuzhou Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt, its main characteristics are using a wide range of plants; innovative configuration and extensive management. And these characteristics are valuable for references regarding of creating a riverside landscape. Therefore, by using a method of field investigation, this paper mainly discusses the various types and the configuration of plants used on Zhuzhou Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt. Through the investigation, the main findings are as follows:Firstly,For the first time in Zhuzhou Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt that the use of plants is different when the water line is different were investigated.It is found above the water line which only happens once in100years, the plants are likely to be biennial flowers. And it accounts for38%. While above the water line which merely occurs once in50years, the main plants tend to be perennial flowers. It occupies42%. As for the normal water level lines, the plants would be aquatic herbs and ornamental grasses. They are accounting for50%and33%respectively.Second,For the first time in Zhuzhou Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt with practical application of herbaceous flower species investigation statistics in2010-2013years. This paper has found there are102kinds of plants being practically used on the Zhuzhou Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt in2011-2013. which belong to83species and35families. And among these plants, due to the natural competitive process, there are nine categories have already been eliminated. They are Cosmos bipinnatus Cav, Zinnia elegans Jacq, Inula japonica Thunb, Carex siderosticta Hance, Dianthus chinensis L, etc. While the higher frequency utilized types of plants are:Coreopsis grandiflora Hogg, Verbena tenera. Verbena bonariensis, Miscanthus sinensis, Cortaderia selloana, Nassella tenuissima, etc. Besides, the high ornamental plant species which are used here are Coreopsis grandiflora Hogg, coneflower, Coreopsis tinctoria, Verbena bonariensis, Oenothera speciosa, Phragmites australis, Arundo donax, Pennisetum alopecuroides, Miscanthus sinensis and so on.Thirdly, there are five main forms of configuration used on the Zhuzhou Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt. They are lawns, flower borders, parterres, flowers, and special gardens. In details, the lawn decorated with flowers which mainly appear on the flower glade and sloping lot in a form of a variety of mixed planting which has same traits. And the flower border mainly in the forest edge, massive planting flower border curbs with monochrome flower border and the junction nodes. And parterres mainly appear in the tree planting. flower order retaining Department. They are mainly planting some low and bright color flowers.Last. Through investigation and analysis, this paper has made an overall evaluation about the advantages and disadvantages of the use of plants on the Zhuzhou Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt and has suggested some improvements. This paper has also summarized the types of plants which are suitable for promoting in the riverside ScenicBelt.And it believes thatCoreopsis Coreopsis grandiflora Hogg, Chrysanthemum paludosum,Cosmos ulphureus, Coreopsis tinctoria, Orychophragmus violaceus, Verbena bonariensis, Hemerocallis fulva. Kniphofia uvaria, more than30kinds of plants, which have already well performed on the Zhuzhou Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt, are worthy of further replicated in other Scenic Belt of Hunan Province.Based on the analysis,which originate from the general situation of Zhuzhou xiangjiang river scenic belt,this thesis revealed the growing environment of riverside plants,researched the selection and configuration methods of plants species on the scenic belt as well,in order to discuss the research and application of riverside plants orientation in Hunan province. |
