Mining Wasteland Landscape Design Update Study

Mineral resources and people’s daily lives. With the accelerated pace of urbanization in the country, the demand for mineral resources is increasing. However, after all, mineral resources is a non-renewable energy.After a long period of exploitation, they will eventually exhaust one day. Combined with extensive management and overexploitation when doing the work in some areas, mining wasteland is also expanding the range and the number. The mining wasteland is a huge challenge for urban development, living, quality of the environment of residents. Binding site characteristics and needs of the city, landscape design is a new idea to change the mining wasteland to be better.Jiaozuo was the famous for tis coal.It has rich mineral resources, with nearly a century of mining history. Long-term mining result in multiple quantities mining wastelands. These places usually have governance problems, seriously affecting the landscape of the city. Jiaozuo mining wastelands is selected for the focus of the study. Yanmazhuang mine subsidence area is the focus for the design of landscape update. This place has a strong representational, and it can provide some reference value for future mining wasteland landscape update design.This article through Consulting Literatures, field research, and design of case, the main get the following results.(1) Mining wasteland landscape update can use these methods:show the authenticity, recycling facilities, ecological restoration, metaphor and symbolism.(2) Currently Jiaozuo Mining wasteland exist those problems:subsidence, cracks and other geological disasters, solid waste pollution, water pollution, destruction of landscape structure.(3) Construct of Jiaozuo mining wasteland landscape update design system, determine Jiaozuo mining wasteland landscape design with new objectives, principles, propose Jiaozuo mining wasteland landscape update strategy:to establish the basis and select the appropriate updates combined mode, and then sum landscape design update points for these areas.(4) Take Jiaozuo Yanmazhuang subsidence areas as an example to finish the landscape updated design, form a complete description of the design and planning.
