Project schedule management is one of the three objectives of project management, which carried out a series of management to ensure the project be delivered in accordance with a predetermined schedule. So, the project schedule management work has an important impact for the quality standards the whole project implementation. In the traditional project schedule management, the main technology includes a Gantt chart, CMP and PERT, etc. However, the project resource constraints and people conduct psychological factors are not considered in these traditional management techniques and theories, so the resource conflicts and dynamic problems that occur during projects can not be solved. On the basis of CPM / PERT project management techniques on schedule, in the 1990 s, Goldratt made progress CCPM critical chain project management theory and polymerization system, which is based on the principles of the Theory of Constraints. In the CCPM mode, the logical correlation between the various processes and the behavioral factors in the resource constraints and project management staff in analyzed, which could be adapted to large-scale construction project schedule management demand.In this thesis, the progress of the project management theory and the key chain theory is collated and analyzed on the basis of the current project schedule management research analysis at home and abroad, including project schedule management theoretical basis and key chain technologies, the basic idea of constraint-based power key chain schedule management, etc. Then, the basic situation of the project, the total contract scope and characteristics of the project, the construction process of the project technical difficulties and safeguard measures, project schedule management difficulties and safeguard measures of the W Project is studied in this thesis deeply. Finally, the control mode of progress of the W project and progress control technology is analysis in detailed in this thesis, and the construction work of project management model in W Project is also studied deeply. On the basis of the above work, the actual application of the model in the W Project schedule management is studied in this thesis, including identifying critical chain project process, resource constraints balanced approach, buffer settings, etc. And the effectiveness of the management mode is evaluated and analysis deeply at last.From the study work in this thesis, CCPM is more suitable for large-scale construction work schedule management project, and is possible to improve the quality and efficiency of project schedule management compared with CPM / PERT traditional project schedule management technology.
