Research On The Establishment And Operation Of The Oil Spill Emergency Equipment In Zhangjiagang Port

Zhangjiagang port is located in the south shore of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It’s China’s the only inland port free trade zone and an important center of the wood, iron and steel, grain and oil, liquid chemicals. Besides, it is also an important gateway to opening up of the Yangtze River Delta region. The port emergency and pollution elimination mainly rely on the antifouling of the work unit, terminals and other social forces. Once a large scale of the ship’s oil spill accident, the antifouling emergency power is obviously insufficient and it will cause great losses to the local ecological environment and economic development and will bring serious social influence. So, it is very important to establish and run the oil spill emergency equipment.According to the characteristics of Zhangjiagang port, this paper makes a survey on the pollution sources of Zhangjiagang port and summarized the oil emergency equipment storage management status at home and abroad. Combined with the advanced experience of the construction of the spill oil emergency reservoir of domestic and abroad, the construction situation and existing problems of Zhangjiagang emergency library were investigated. Through comparing various management and running modes and mechanisms and combining the facts of the area, the author puts forward some constructive solutions to the operation and management of the marine oil spill emergency equipment in Zhangjiagang maritime bureau.
