Morphological Study Of The Old Street And Traditional Residential In Ancient Town Of Shannan Shiquan

With the fusion of development and history, in different climate and cultural background, our country have formed a unique ancient settlement.As the soul of the ancient settlement, its characteristic external street space and the residential buildings have very high value of the protection. However, at present a lot of traditional district destructive construction on the loss in driving shortsighted economic interests,and the construction caused the loss of traditional space and the residence of old style. On the other hand, since its original space form and architectural structure have contradiction with modern life, have all kinds of contradictions, it is also undergoing a destructive change. Therefore, through scientific analysis and control, combined with the form of ancient town and the original style of chinese traditional residence protection and reasonable exploit is particularly important.The main road in the south of Shaanxi Province Shiquan County, is the old street in the Ming and Qing style,It is a well preserved old street. On both sides of that, it is connected with the characteristical residential courtyard. The value of protection and development of the streets and houses were high. In this paper, through theoretical guidance, investigation and comparative analysis research steps of its historical evolution process and spatial morphological traits are discussed and analyzed, and put forward the renewal and protection strategy. Firstly, through the literature collection and field research, it would analysi the background of natural geographical features of the old city and the social humanities in Shiquan county. On this basis, combined with the theory of urban design, and studies systematically explained the street and characteristics of process of formation, residential courtyard space form of construction, and evolution to provides a logical basis for the protection and transformation of the space.And analysis the space characteristics and the influencing factors of characteristical street and courtyard houses to mining the controllable factors of the space design. Finally, combined with field survey data and urban design principle, culture background and natural environment, put forward the space protection and tourism development strategy of the street and residential courtyard.The thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, put forward the problem and introduce the problem, explains the significance of this research object, purpose, method, framework and so on; The second and third chapters for the analysis of the problem interprets natural environment and cultural characteristics of Shiquan, and introduces the evolution process of space form of street and residential courtyard; The fouth and fifth chapter consentrate on the street and characteristics of courtyard dwellings,And according to the composing factors of space form carry on the detailed analysis,the sixth chapter solve the problem, which the fifth chapter proposes the protection and development strategy; The seventh chapter explore the future development of the old streets and residential courtyard.
