Research On The Green Renewal Design Of Courtyard Houses In Tianshui Xiguan Ancient City

Tianshui of Gansu Province is a famous historical and cultural city with a long history of city construction.Xiguan Ancient Town of Qinzhou District is one of the most representative residential areas.Nowadays,the local ancient residential buildings cannot meet the needs of people’s modern life and their current situation is not in harmony with the modern features of the city,so transformation and renewal are inevitable.Traditional dwellings are developed and formed under specific natural climate and environment.They not only have high historical and humanistic value,but also contain rich green wisdom.It is one of the important ways to realize the inheritance and development of residential buildings and the localization research of green building by reviewing traditional residential buildings with the theory of contemporary green building and sustainable development,extracting and verifying the green experience and deficiency contained therein,and revising it with modern architectural design techniques.This paper is based on the support of the sub-project of the National Key Research and Development Program"Green Building Model and Technical System in Western Region Based on Multiculturalism"（Project No.2017YFC0702400-3）in the"13th Five-Year Plan"^[1],and based on the research results of ecological theory of green building and the practical status of residential renewal.Through literature analysis,field investigation,simulation experiment,case study and multidisciplinary comprehensive analysis and other methods,from the perspective of architectural research,the green performance research and green renewal design exploration of Tianshui ancient city dwellings under the background of urbanization are carried out step by step.First of all,based on the regional cognitive analysis of Tianshui and the overview of the characteristics of residential buildings,the renewal requirements of equal emphasis on function optimization and performance improvement were put forward.Meanwhile,the basic principles of green renewal of residential buildings were proposed from four aspects by interpreting Tianshui climate factors as the basis for renewal.Secondly,on the basis of theoretical research,this paper focuses on the construction characteristics of Xiguan ancient city dwellings,such as courtyard layout,architectural form,structural envelope,scale and so on.Through interviews and questionnaires,the paper analyzes the deficiency of the current situation and highlights the awareness of problems.Thirdly,the spatial combination and functional utilization of Xiguan dwellings were extracted,and the green qualitative analysis was carried out at the settlement and courtyard levels.On this basis,the quantitative analysis of wind environment,light environment and thermal environment was conducted scientifically through performance simulation software.Finally,the advantages and disadvantages are further clarified through the comparison analysis with the current green building evaluation standards.On the basis of inheriting local architectural characteristics and green construction experience,the appropriate green renewal strategy is proposed,and experimental design exploration is carried out.This paper provides a certain reference for the renewal,utilization and reconstruction of courtyard dwellings in ancient Tianshui City,which is conducive to improving the ecology and modern livability of traditional dwellings,and realizing the green regeneration of traditional dwellings.
