With the further acceleration of urbanization and increasing the quality of life of residents, the need for large and long distance water delivery system is more and more pay attention to the problem of explosion engineering. The water column separation and disconnection water hammer often occurs in the long distance pressure pipeline, caused by water hammer damage is very serious. The water hammer accident is the most, the most difficult protection often occurs in many ups and downs of pressure pipeline. Therefore, the number of volts of long distance pressure pipeline water hammer protection scheme analysis is extremely important. Especially in the actual application, this technology is needed, according to the operating characteristics of the water conveyance project, the optimization of water hammer protection measures. This paper mainly focuses on the study of many ups and downs of long distance pipeline water hammer protection scheme.In this paper, on the basis of predecessors’ research shows the common characteristics of the water hammer protection measures, characteristics and selection of relevant requirements, the best water hammer protection scheme were discussed, and put forward to attaches great importance to the problem of water hammer protection measures.
