The Linfen and Yuncheng District is located in the south-west of Shanxi Province, where has been the vital communication line of the North Central Plains since ancient times. Large numbers of ancient architecture of North-Song Dynasty、Jin Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty still remained in the district, which provide a good foundation for the research. The thesis accomplished the temple architecture stage dividing of North-Song Dynasty、Jin Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty in Linfen and Yuncheng District, and discussed the changes of the temple architecture arrangements among different periods in history or different standing. With systematically and deeply research, the paper suggests three different stages of the monomer architecture types periodization, and each stage can be divided into two periods. The first stage is from the North-Song Dynasty to the years before DaDing period in Jin Dynasty(A.D. 980- AD 1161, and the ChongNing period is the dividing line. The secongd stage is from the DaDing period in Jin Dynasty to Mongolia period(A.D. 1161- A.D. 1271), and the last years of Jin Dynasty is the dividing line. The third stage is the Yuan Dynasty(A.D. 1271 – A.D. 1368), and the period of RenZong emperoris the dividing line.Through the above research, the paper point out that, in the North-Song Dynasty, Shanxi and Henan are two different area centers in the North Central Plains, Linfen and Yuncheng District are mainly under the influence of Shanxi. But in Jin Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty, Shanxi lost the status of area center and effected by Linfen and Yuncheng District in return. After the DaDing period in Jin Dynasty, the architecture types in most areas in the North Central Plains get close to Ying Zao Fa Shi, which is probably related to the new system established in the DaDing period.
