Chinese traditional architecture is independent and occupies a relatively important position in the world’s architectural system.The eaves part is an important part of traditional Chinese wooden building,and also a unique part that highlights the form of traditional Chinese wooden building.The Northern Song Dynasty inherited the Tang and Five Dynasties,and the Southern Song Dynasty and Jin Yuan were the pinnacle of the development of Chinese architectural technology history.This article explains and sorts out the methods of eaves in the remains of wooden building in the Northern Song Dynasty in detail.The history of existing building technology summarizes three related technical aspects: Eaves’ Strech,Eaves’ Bend Upwards and Eaves’ Strech at Corner.Based on these technology,the paper analyzes and researches 63 eaves data of existing wooden buildings in the Northern Song Dynasty.The distribution of eaves height method,the relationship between warpage and angle beam type,factors that determine Eaves’ Strech at Corner,and other issues are discussed.
