In the recent years, companied with the increasing requirement of the energy sources and the vigorous development of water resources, it is much more worse than before to construct the hydropower station, the eastern water hydropower were developed almost completely, middle parts were also seldom left. Gradually, the market shifts to the high altitudes and overseas countries. Moreover, the difficulties of the construction grew, besides, maintaining the sites selection and plants construction as the main factors of consideration, become the common reasons to lead to the inconvenient roads building. Meanwhile, it is essential to deeply e×plore the layout and design of the transportation for the energy saving and environment friendly.Based on the illustration of transport background in the hydropower station, this article emphasized on the analysis of transport layout and design in the domestic and foreign hydropower stations, summarized the shortcomings at present and pointed out the problems. Combined with the collection of sites routes classification and transport characteristics, it proposed the basic design and layout principles on account of the e×ploration results of the representative hydropower station--LuDila, according to the influence factors. Furthermore, it presents two sorts of patterns: ladder and on the embankment separate, the reasonable plan for Ludila was also included. Then, it analyzes and researches the selected factors that were influenced by arterial roads technical standards. As the result, the article identified each arterial road technology standard, the key points of design and the project construction time plan.
