The Study On Transport Characteristics & Problem Amendment Of Transport Planning In CBD Area

In the context of rapid urbanization and fast motorization in many big cities in China, a good and rational transport planning for the CBD area becomes more and more important issue for a successful CBD.In this paper, many CBD examples are selected from both famous global cities around the world and big cities inside China. Characteristics of land use and transport planning in these CBD are compared and analyzed, as well as of commute trips.Then, experiences from successful CBD are praised and lessons from developing CBD area are drawn. And a more rational transport planning method is introduced which is based on Multi-model transport planning. Guided by this method, some measures and advices are also introduced to amend some existing problems in the transport planning in Chinese cities.Finally, in the case study of Hangzhou CBD, some measures are implemented to improve the existing transport planning for the area.
