With the development of science, technology, human rigid demand and investment demand, the scale of engineering construction projects is growing, followed by the project complexity and difficulty, and the improved quality requirements. Traditional management methods can’t meet the demand for infrastructure projects management. With the rapid development of computer technology, it is an inevitable trend to bring them in the development of the modern construction industry.Infrastructural project is a classic business model of the construction industry, the business requirements and classic services is completed by accomplish the goal of the project. Construction industry is managed by building site engineering information management system, which not only does a great job for the project management, but also can improve the efficiency, save resources, and provide powerful financial accounting function to construction companies.According to the needs of the business, the implementation of building site engineering information management system based on C/S is proposed. The research and development of the system is realized, combined with POS systems, database systems, computer systems, and network communication technology, the system is divided into three modules, namely database server system, client management systems and POS information collection system.The implementation of the database server system: design database by SQL Server. Network communications, data encapsulation, automatic command generation are used to design database serve. The server is responsible for data communication with the client through the network, providing functions such as packets reception, unpacking or distribution, the command interpreter, to ensure the stability of the system database.Design patterns and MFC are used to design system architecture, to increase software Redo and Undo function, and to realize real-time monitors of the state of the data. The data is acquired from the database server through network communication. The client system is divided into three modules, such as runtime layer module, database access module and communication module, which are supporting the operation of man machine interactive system.The POS System is divided into the management module, acquisition modules and communication modules. The management module is realized with POS interface programming in Linux; Data reading and collection of the acquisition module is realized with RFID identification technology; Network communication technology, GPRS wireless communication technology and file transfer technology are used in communication module to ensure real-time and integrity of the data, and to ensure the stability of operation of the system.According to the management process and the business requirements of the construction project, the dissertation verifies the security, stability and reliability of the building site progect information management system. The system played an important role for improving the work efficiency, reducing mistakes in engineering calculation.
