It is well known that the railway business is the cornerstone of national economic and social development. With the continuous development of society, the urban rail transit construction is more and more favored by the community, however, rail transportation has been in the running state of high density and high strength, the requirements of urban rail transit train must have good positioning and scheduling system.This paper probes into introducing RFID technology to the automatic recording and positioning for urban rail transit and developing and establishing a complete system to automatically record train positioning information and monitor train running and prevent train collisions owing to a human error or positioning failure.The paper firstly goes deep into relevant RFID technology and software development technologies,secondly the current user analysis, functional analysis, non-functional demand analysis, feasibility analysis of the automatic train recording and positioning technologies related needs a clear system, and combined with the present mainstream technology of software development, architecture design, overall design, detailed design and the database design of the system, finally according to the design of system architecture implementation, function modules and exception handling system. With automatic train recording and positioning as the core, framework J2 EE and database SQL Server is applied in system development to achieve system construction. And analysing the function of each part of the system repeatedly, the results of the test show that the system function meet the needs of users, and the system has a good stability.The introduction of RFID technology to train operation can not only realize the automatic recording of trains coming and going and the positioning and monitoring of the entire train running but also provide real-time access to train running information and reliable data support for accident prevention. Moreover, the establishment of the system will decrease the intensity of manual operation, free the staff from highly-intensive work, increase work efficiency and further informative urban rail transit.
