A Study On Library Risk Management Of Weifang University Of Science And Technology

Generally, libraries are landmark buildings of the universities which play an important part in teaching and researching; therefore, every university pays special attention to their construction. During recent years, with many new campuses and branch campuses of key universities being constructed and private universities and upgraded ones booming, the construction projects of libraries have been increasing as well. Thus, more and more people began to focus on how to avoid and reduce risk events as well as finish the library construction with high efficiency, high standard and high quality.Based on current research status and theories of risk management in and abroad, the author had a through study on the procedure of risk management of university libraries including risk identification, analysis, evaluation and response, which depends on qualitative and quantitative analysis.The author first identifies and classifies those possible ricks under the construction of library of WUST, then establish the risk list which concludes the risks of economy, quality, safety, deadline and policy. Besides, the author analyzes and evaluates the library project of WUST by using analytic hierarchy process, based on which he develops highly practical risk response strategies. At last, he constructs a system of risk management aiming at the library project of WUST, which provides some effective instructions to its construction.
