| The concept of theme restaurants was first developed in foreign countries in the 1950s and 1960s, and China began to appear theme restaurant in late 1990s.Nowadays, the catering industry develops so rapidly. The time that restaurants are used to settle the meal has already passed. And the demand for spiritual culture is getting more and more highlighted. Good restaurant atmosphere can bring people different experience and feelings, and make people feel relax after a busy work day. the theme restaurant thus came into being and continued to develop. The essence of the theme restaurant lies in that it can bring different feelings to consumers, and meet the needs of different consumers through representing different types of theme culture. However, the development of the theme dining-room which is not mature brings up some problems as well. Therefore, it is worthwhile to explore how to build in a distinctive dining space which is in line with the culture connotations of the theme.In the thesis, combining the methods of field study and guiding by theories, the author tries to explore the overview of thematic design, the analysis of different thematic space, and the expression of the environment and thematic space by taking some theme restaurants with Suzhou characteristics, and summarize some principles and methods which are beneficial for an deep understanding of theme restaurant. |
