Study On The Traditional Space Restructuring Strategy Of Suzhou Ancient Villages

Ancient village is the living fossil of human history cultural heritage. Its concept, thoughts and the evolution have great influence and guidance meanings on the modern county-rural planning and construction. But alone with the advancement of industrialization and urbanization in our country, many of the ancient village, because of remote location, population into the city, the change of modern way of life and single industrial structure and other factors, resulting in the backward economy, the decline of the ancient village space, face a serious crisis of survival. But the good news is that, in recent years, various walks of life pay more attention on the updating and protection of the ancient village. And in the ancient village, the village square, street, courtyard and ancestral temple, as the representation of the traditional space, have important historical and cultural value and useful value. The natural texture of ancient village is composed of figure background fusion relationship of the traditional space and residential buildings. Residential buildings as the basis of natural texture, shaping the look of long history and traditional space have played a role. Today the property of preserved residential buildings in the ancient village is still in private, to give more operation to the traditional public spatial updating, then which in turn to promote the villagers’ autonomy construction, further the revival of the whole ancient village. Therefore, the research on the traditional space reconstruction of ancient village in the update and the development process is very necessary.In this context, the paper, firstly expounds the traditional space of the ancient village about the types, functions, components, the influencing factors, then analyzes the evolution of the traditional space, and confirms the necessity of its reconstruction. Then, respectively from four aspects, that the environment quality, space order, functional requirements and place spirit, the paper put forward the four strategies of traditional ancient village space reconstruction: first, improve the village pattern, optimize landscape environment; second, use the montage, arrange space sequence; third, regenerate the functional activity, revive the endogenous power; fourth, inherited the regional culture, give the place spirit. On this basis, the research, on Suzhou Luxiang Village, test the operational and practical value of the relevant views.The whole paper is consisted of six chapters:The first chapter: expound the origin, significance, framework of the research, and analyze the concept of the object of research.The second chapter: summarize the research results in the traditional space and "place" field of the ancient village, and the cross and integration of multi-disciplinary theory, which provide a theoretical basis for the reconstruction of traditional space in the ancient village.The third chapter: mainly include the analysis of the types, elements of components, functions, influencing factors, evolution, and the necessity of reconstruction about the traditional space of the ancient village.The fourth chapter: put forward the reconstruction strategy of the traditional space of ancient village, highlighting the practical value of reconstruction.The fifth chapter: as the Suzhou Luxiang Village in the case, introduce reconstruction plan of the traditional space and the effect after the implementation of the program.The sixth chapter: summarize the whole paper, analyze the lack, and follow-up research prospects.
