The Traditional Village Design Strategy In The Reconstruction Of Villages In Southern Henan

We have stepped into a society when people start to focus more onto inner construction rather than putting all the effort into urbanization.The importance of cultural inheritance ascends at present,rural protection and environmental renovation construction have become the focus of development.Many traditional villages are currently facing a huge shock from the modern civilization in certain different ways such as economy,social and cultural development.The traditional agricultural civilization and culture is gradually blanking.rural acquaintance society is also dismembering under the impact of the high-speed economy.Now people who live in the villages will need to face the situation when their concept of life and the lifestyle will both be updating and reconstructing due to the change of the society.The southern part of Henan province locates in the junction of henan,hubei and jiangxi province,while its culture is relatively complicated and filled with diversity.This region contains countless mountains,jungles and numerous rivers,some of the traditional villages have lasted for thousands of years.Villages,as the carrier of the connection between people and the earth,transports certain multi-dimensional messages about nature,society,economy and politics to people.Meanwhile,as the]basic unit of human settlement,it showed its high level of flexibility,adaptability,great ability of adapting with the surrounding environment and its inclusivity.In order to find a more all-sided way of village development to solve the current problems which are faced by the villages in southern Henan province,based on the systematic research on the successful cases of village updating studies in both China and other countries,I will set the dimensional design of the Henan traditional villages as the study guide,the village’s natural environment condition,social economy and cultural characteristics will be analyzed,and I will also summarize the essence of the problems they are facing during village development.Furthermore,I will study from the law of the development of traditional villages and the exploration of rural construction and suitable thoughts and methods will be proposed to develop Henan traditional villages.The article is divided into three parts,in a total of six chapters.The first part(basic research),includes repeating concept,literature review and research framework,and summarization of the background of the development of Henan traditional villages.This part will also be discussing the purpose and meaning of this project,while the research target,goal and different methods will also be mentioned.Throughout the Investigation of the village,the village space analysis,construction of the empirical analysis method will help to set up the framework of research papers.The second part(the study of main subject),throughout the study on related theory,and the analysis of typical traditional village space form,I will find out the basic principles of the construction of traditional village development and some of its features under special geographical conditions.Aiming at the development of typical traditional village construction,I will be discussing "protecting,repairing,updating,developing" and other key issues,and will be selecting three cases from the construction in Xinyang region in order to do the empirical research,and analyze its concept,the methods used,the pattern and the results.The third part(strategy),based on the theory and case research,I will extract suitable design methods that fits the current condition.The direction of the empirical study will be found out through observing those cases.Based on the fact that the concept of village designing has brought some essential influence on the methods,pattern and results of village constructing,it has helped to improve and develop the theory of village designing which is not yet mature,and also has made it more advanced.
