With the development of our national economy, quality of life constantly improved. Chinese has become a great potential market. Because the marketing way and big space of the supermarket, catering to the rhythm of life and the psychological demand of modern people, so welcomed by the majority of people. With the continuous expansion of the scale of the supermarket, the frequency of supermarket fire is also getting higher and higher, causing more and more casualties and economic losses. At present, the study for the fire of supermarket in China is relatively few, based on this, in this paper, using the numerical simulation to analyze and research the safety conditions of the specific supermarket.First, analyze the present conditions of the fire facilities, number of fuel and traffic of WAL-MART supermarket on Xi’an Road. According to the typical fire cases in domestic and foreign, analyze hazards and characteristics of fire in the supermarket, confirm the fire growth model, load density, the maximum heat release rate, the number and characteristic of people in the supermarket. Using the Pyrosim software, established the physical model of the supermarket. According to the conditions of simulation, to simulate the fire process of gas temperature, visibility and height of smoke layer and other parameters by using the FDS software, obtain the risk time, and compared with the evacuation time that simulated by Evac, judging the evacuation facilities in the supermarket meet the requirements.Based on this, from the aspect of management of the number of fule, discussed maximum fire load density in ensuring the safety, provides the reference for placement and size of shelf; From the aspect of personnel management, according to the characteristic of human behavior, determine the maximum capacity of the supermarket. Provide the basis for the supermarket of traffic.Finally, from the point of design, redesigned the fire district, through the numerical simulation, improved the number and area of the fire zone and the position of exit. The results show that the improved design reducing a fire district, improved utilization area of the supermarkets.
