Research On Characteristic And Generative Grammar Of Exterior Form Of Traditional Residence In Rongcheng Region

In recent years,the traditional dwellings of Rongcheng area has got wide attention of society,their unique shape has become a symbol of Rongcheng. Meanwhile, systematic and quantitative research on Rongcheng traditional houses is short. lacking of research in quantitative description on the regularconstitution pattern of the traditional residential houses of Rongcheng region. In this context, this paper hopes tostudythrough combining theories and methods related to CAAD with the external shape of the traditional residentialhouses of Rongcheng, exploringthe deeper geographical features, and design rules of Rongcheng traditional residentialhouses.The first chapter of this thesis introduces the relevant circumstances of traditional dwellings in Rongcheng area and CAAD technology,then discusses the significance and purpose of this research and puts forward the research content, method and framework. The second chapter and the third chapter are based on the analysis of social investigation and data, respectively, of the traditional dwellings in Rongcheng plane and facade form characteristics of the qualitative and quantitative analysis summary. The fourth chapter is based on the analysis results of the second and the third chapter,with the idea of generative architecture design system with CAAD technology,the thesis obtain a generative grammar for the external morphology of traditional dwellings in Rongcheng area.
