Walking Suitability Investigation And Countermeasures Research Of Universities In Hangzhou

Walking is the most basic mode of transportation, also is t one of the most safe, effective and easy way of exercise. Respecting the rights of campus pedestrian and the physical and mental experience of people different purpose on demand, has important practical significance to guide people to choose a healthier lifestyle, and improve the campus activities. The main findings include the following four areas:(1)Under the guidance of the new cities planning, the social ecological model theory,traffic calming, environment psychology theory, Paper discusses the four people walking purpose(traffic, leisure, shopping, fitness) travel demand characteristics. The behavior influencing factors are summarized as physical environment, biological climate factors, physiological conditions, social factors and psychological factors, and the campus walk suitability environmental factors divided into two categories: path quality and environment variables, for below status quo investigation and selection of evaluation index to provide reference value.(2)Through field investigation, questionnaire survey and interview records, making researches and discussions respectively on the walking environment present situation and problems of 10 universities campus in Hangzhou. To find campus functional partition, plant configuration and the design of the water environment for people’s walking suitability and outdoor activities have the biggest impact, the function of the composite partition layout can better solve the large-scale campus traffic convenience and congestion problem, traffic problems, the parking problem, pavement quality problems is often one of the most important factors on the campus walking suitability.(3)Using SPSS software, combined with principal component analysis and cluster analysis methods, summarizes the people walking suitability and campus outdoor environment internal related features. From the path quality, traffic environment quality, environment facilities three aspects, 21 secondary indicators, using the grey correlation analytic method, to conclude correlation coefficient of each secondary index and campus walk erogenous environment, and build the campus walk suitability outdoor environment evaluation system.(4)Finally, the thesis further puts forward the campus walk suitability outdoor environment planning and design strategies, from the walking path, the walking space, outdoor furniture and facilities designe and policy aspects, for our campus walking suitability outdoor environment planning and design to offer help and reference.
