| As the country’s future talent pool,college students must also have a strong physique and healthy mental state on the basis of having a high academic level,but the current college student group is facing multiple pressures such as academic,employment,social and other realities and various health risks in the environment.As the main medium of college students’ life,university campuses should not only create a comfortable and rich material environment for students,but also become a place for college students to relieve stress,promote health,stimulate positive psychology,develop personal abilities,and cultivate excellent personality qualities.In the past,campus environment research mostly stayed in landscape evaluation,local space and individual element transformation design,and empirical research on campus restoration,and there were few studies on tapping the personal health potential of college students and the health support mechanism of campus environment,and the support force guiding the planning and design practice of "healthy campus" was insufficient.Therefore,clarifying the health support mechanism and influencing factors of the campus environment from the perspective of "environmental perception",tapping the "health promotion potential" of the campus environment,and discussing the construction methods of campus health supportive environment for health promotion based on the perspective of environmental perception are positive responses to the current concept of "active health concept" in China.This study first conducts open interviews with college students in Chongqing through pre-research to understand students’ perceptions,needs and perceptions of environmental health support on the current campus environment,and analyzes and summarizes the environmental perception attributes that may affect the supportive nature of campus environmental health based on domestic and foreign built environment and health-related literature.Then,a theoretical framework and explanatory model are constructed to reveal the intrinsic influence mechanism between college students’ environmental perception,health benefit perception and health support effect perception in campus environment,introduce the "access behavior" variable,and clarify the process and influencing factors of "behavioral intervention","place perception","evaluation formation","benefit evaluation" to "health support effect".Finally,five universities in Chongqing were selected to obtain quantitative data through quota sampling and questionnaire survey,and Structural Equation Modeling(SEM)was used for empirical analysis,and the role path and driving mechanism of campus health supportive environment on college students’ health promotion were discussed.The study concluded the following:(1)There are differences in the supporting role of university campus environmental perception factors on health.Students with a higher level of perception of the campus environment can obtain higher health supportive benefits,and students can easily obtain higher levels of environmental health support benefits in the campus outdoor environment with accessibility,comfort,creativity,easy identification,mystery,compatibility,and charm.(2)There were significant differences in the supportive effects of environmental health among students in different universities.The results showed that students from Southwest University of Political Science and Law and Chongqing University received more significant environmental health support benefits,followed by Southwest University and Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications,while Chongqing Normal University had lower health support benefits.Among them,5 colleges and universities had a higher degree of supportive perception of mental health and mental health,and relatively low dimensions of physical health,social health and environmental health.(3)There were significant differences in the motivation and behavior of college students under different stress levels.The higher the degree of stress,the more likely it is to produce natural experience and relaxation motivation,and they are more inclined to choose green areas such as understory,lawn,waterfront and other green areas for relaxation activities,weakening the motivation and activities of exploration and social communication,and different visiting motivation and environmental experience may bring different degrees of health promotion to students.(4)The healthy supportive environment of college campuses has two ways to play a role in supporting the health of college students.According to the established structural equation model of healthy supportive environment,there are simple impact paths of "access behavior → environment perception → restorative evaluation →health supportive effects" and complex impact paths of "access behavior →environment perception → restorative evaluation → health benefit evaluation →health supportive effects".College students step into the outdoor environment of campus through intrinsic motivation,generate restorative cognition and health perception in the campus environment,derive positive attitudes and positive emotions,stimulate positive psychology,promote healthy behaviors,and further realize the promotion of overall health such as physiological,psychological,and social,thereby guiding college students to form an active healthy environment experience,thereby forming a virtuous circle.It is also found that both environmental restorative evaluation and self-health benefit evaluation can explain the mediating effect of the model,and environmental restorative evaluation and self-health benefit evaluation regulate the relationship between students’ campus environment perception and health support effect.(5)According to the empirical results of the model,a multi-dimensional environmental optimization design strategy is proposed from the two aspects of "external environment shaping" and "internal active guidance".According to the results of the survey results of the health supportive environment of universities,combined with the relevant research and theories of health promotion,four types of "health supportive spaces" are summarized,namely: natural experience space,cultural and art space,public communication and learning space,and behavior activation space,and health supportive environment construction measures are proposed from the three perspectives of space type selection and shaping,space layout and quality construction,and providing interactive scenarios.The internal positive guidance level aims to stimulate the internal drive of college students’ outdoor environment access by cultivating active health awareness,exploring college students’ healthy behavior habits,creating landscape points of interest,and optimizing the moving line landscape,so as to improve the overall health level of college students.This study reveals the influencing factors and mechanisms of healthy supportive environment on university campuses,explores the important role of campus environment in actively intervening in the health of college students,and expands the research framework of campus environment planning and design,in order to provide an established research basis for the construction and renewal of healthy campuses. |
