| With the advancement of China’s power grid reform, the management of quality, schedules, investment and safety become the four important issues of project management in electric power construction projects. Among those four aspects, the management of schedules is the most crucial one. In the current situation of market economy, the State Grid is facing impacts too. The society will need more reliable and economical power products, because of the boosting economy and people’s growing living standard. What’s more, with private enterprises entering the area of power transmission and transformation, under the permission of the state government, the competition will be more intense, which brings higher requirements to power enterprises. As a result, in a power construction project, schedule management theories should be well used to guide the planning and implementing of the project schedules, so as to ensure that the project would be completed on time with the quality and quantity guaranteed.Power enterprises is actively advancing their technology and changing their management in their power construction projects, putting forward a development direction of building an intelligent power grid which is flexible, clean, safe and friendly. At the beginning, this paper introduced the studies done by researchers both home and abroad as well as the relevant knowledge of schedule management. Then, using the new 110kV intelligent transformer substation construction project in Shuanghe County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province as a research object, with theories related to modern project management and net panning as well as the Critical Path Method, it provided an effective method for the project to be completed on time by solving the problems in schedule planning, dynamic supervising, schedule adjusting and construction error correcting. In the end, the project wasn’t completed on time, due to the unpredictable incidents. However, by using schedule management methods and adjusting the plan, the construction period was minimized, which left precious experience to the projects in the future. |
