Since2014, however,house prices leveled off, most of the urban housing supply are more than need,the real estate market coming into the new normal condition. At the same time,the desire for city traditional culture and vibrant community vigor is growing.Such a new situation makes it necessary to re-examine the value of urbanvillages and urban village planning and construction model.Phenomenon of "village in city" is unique for our country, it is difficult todirectly draw experience from the foreign city construction, for the cityconstruction in China, the attitude of the "village in city" and transform method cannot stand still, new strategy method of keeping the pace with the timesshould be explored according to the needs of urban development level indifferent periods, the urban construction, urban construction experience. Thishas great significance of realizing urban and rural areas as a whole, advanceurbanization with Chinese characteristics and urban healthy development,promote social justice and build a conservation-minded society.Because of historical origin and development speed, urban villages ofShenzhen have strong representative in the country, which have strongdemonstration reference effect for the urban village in other cities. Datacollection, field investigation, analogy, inductive and deductive research methodwill be used in these paper, starting with the earliest transformation of villageinside city, shenzhen, as emphasis on the research object, the more developedneighboring Hong Kong and Macao, which are geopolitical similar to Shenzhen,are selected to be supplementary investigation, and analysis together.Through the exploration and research of forming reason and currentsituation of urban village, the paper analysis the existing problems in thevillages and the meaning to the city objectively. Villages exist many problemsand contradictions, but the positive significance to a city is often neglected, suchas the valuable urban culture, providing low-cost housing to city builder,providing a more populist business model and way of life in the center of a city,and easing traffic pressure at the same time. Knowing the positive role of villageis meaningful to hold the direction of the urban village planning and construction correctly. On this basis, the paper try to analysis the existing urbanvillages transforming subject and the main transforming mode, to investigateand survey different villages and try to summarize and analyze the pros and consof various kinds of transformation patterns. And analyze the whole removal andconstruction model which is the most commonly used emphatically. The greatcontribution this pattern given is identified for China’s urbanization process,while at the same time, an objective analysis of some very serious but unnoticedproblem, including social, economic and urban construction problems isnecessary.Re-examine the significance of urban villages to cities, summarizeexperience and lessons in the past urban village reconstruction work, and thenfurther defined urban village reconstruction direction in the new situation, suchas to improve the urban villages environment level, strengthen urbaninfrastructure, construct the characteristic industry, change the single economicdevelopment model which relied on rental property, attach great importance tothe self-renewal ability of urban villages, strengthening public participation,maintain the traditional neighborhood relationship, continue the urban contextand vitality.
