With the economic globalization, the domestic companies have successively adopted the strategy of "going out. With the vigorous development of international trade and project contracting for several decades, brilliant achievements have been made in the area of international project contracting with steady growth both in contract volume and turnover. A diversified strategic pattern has been gradually formed based in the Asian market, penetrating into the markets in Latin America and Africa, exploring the markets both in Europe and America, as well as recovering the market share in the Middle East.However, with the high profit of international contracting projects, we should also realize the high risks endowed with it. It is significant to establish a complete and sound risk management system with due measures to control or reduce the potential risks based on effective and reasonable evaluation, so as to promote the smooth implementation of the international projects. Taking account of the international market environment and the current deficiencies of the Chinese companies in dealing with the risk and risk controlling, it is necessary to study the risk management theory in depth, so that we could improve the ability to manage the risks and the competitiveness of our companies doing business in the international markets.Therefore, on the basis of relevant theoretical study and combined with the total risk management theory, this article identifies the main risk through delphi method, brainstorming method, the flow chart method, the questionnaire or checklist method and summarizes the type of risks for international project contracting according to the characteristics of the international projects, current situation and difficulties of risk management, the study shows that we can investigate the influencing factors from macroscopic factors, technical factors and the main body factors. After that, risk evaluation model can be built based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method (FAHP), thus makes a scientific comprehensive evaluation of enterprise risk effectively and control the risk by corresponding measures.This article aims to summarize a more practical evaluation system and model for international contractors of our country, so that managers can assess the risk of the enterprise scientifically and accurately, and provide some countermeasures for specific risk factors.Only in this way can they provide the certain reference value for risk management of our international contracting companies, and provide actual umbrella for the enterprises in the fierce competition of the international project contracting market.
