| 30years since the reform and opening up, there is a substantial increase inthe level of culture and comprehensive national strength, commercial pedestrian streethas become a hot spot in the city construction and management, however,accompanied by the large-scale construction of the commercial pedestrian streets,problems of lack of characteristics have also emerged, especially the single form ofthe elevation design of commercial pedestrian streets. Therefore, the collage designresearch of the commercial pedestrian streets elevation is becoming necessary.Based on the study of the current situation of the commercial pedestrianstreet, analysis and summary of the elevation composition, along with the research ofthe influence factors, the article have drawn lessons from the relevant theoreticalresearch on elevation collage design and summarized each elevation elements ofcollage measures, thus it may have some practical value on the future of thecommercial pedestrian streets elevation design.Firstly, the paper has classified the commercial pedestrian streets from threeaspects,architectural style, mode of growth and shape respectively, then madeanalysis of their respective characteristics, thus the research range can be defined.Secondly, the paper has made an analysis of the composition of the elevation. Theelevation composition is divided into three parts, there are elevation image, spatialscale, the secondary elevation respectively. For every kind of form, we summarize theexisting problems found, which mainly displays in three aspects, the first is the singleform of the elevation design of commercial pedestrian streets, the second is theunreasonable spatial scales, the third is the excessive development of the secondaryelevation. Finally, the paper has analyzed the influencing factors for problems above.In general, the top-down development mode is the main influence factor. At the sametime, the social culture and ideology, traffic planning and user psychology have alsoplaced great impact on the development of commercial pedestrian streets elevationdesign. Through the above research into the foundation of the analysis, we havesummed up the five principles of elevation collage design---i.e. top-downdevelopment principle, humanism principle, breaking up the whole into partsprinciple, scale unified principle, cultural symbiosis and fusion principle, on whichspecific design measures can be analyzed and developed. We separate the specificmeasures into two parts, the overall building elevation, as well as the three specificcategories and eight elements for commercial pedestrian streets—i.e. value of streetD/H, building height, the near-line rate, architectural style, building material,architectural color, permeability of building elevation and secondary buildingelevation. These eight factors cover the space, style, material and other aspects of thecomposition for building elevation, therefore we confirm the specific measuresthrough the relevant examples. However, this article is just a rough study about theelevation collage design method for commercial pedestrian streets, due to the limitedenergy, we haven’t made a thorough research on the specific category, a follow-upstudy will need to be further gone into. |
