As an integral part of the refrigeration system, condenser plays a very important role in the refrigeration process. The high temperature and high pressure refrigerant vapor that discharged by compressor is condensed into liquid when flow through the condenser by dissipating the heat. The refrigerating performance of refrigerant is primarily determined by the process that the refrigerant can change from liquids into gases, so the refrigeration process is very important. The condenser is usually composed of copper tube or composite pipe which rolling into a elbow by roll pipe and welded by seam welder. The seam cracking of condenser can lead to the leakage of refrigerant, and it not only influences the refrigeration effect of freezer, but also brings a large hidden trouble for security. Thus,it is very necessary to detect the leakage of condenser. This article puts the condensers of a condenser manufacturer as the detection objects.According to the system testing requirements, this article designs a leakage detection system. The standard sample and the testing sample were detected respectively by using the system, and according to the approximation of the data curve to determine whether the extent of the sample gas tightness is good or not.The detection process of this system is:first of all, pressure generated by gas flow through the condenser is converted into a voltage signal that collected easily. Then begin to collect the voltage signal, and the collected data will be sent to the PC. Finally, the collected data is displayed in the form of curve on PC and is compared. The system is divided into the following sections:signal conversion module, data acquisition module, communication module and PC software design. Among them, the communication module is divided into the USB communication and ZigBee-based wireless communication two ways. The comparision of standard sample curve and testing sample curve can be judged by worker’s experience, also can be judged automatically by the algorithm.After the module of hardware and software of the system is designed, their function are tested separately and some problems are solved. Finally, the overall system testing is normal. The design could accomplish testing the air tightness of the condenser.However, if the large scales of the systems are going to put to use, its stability and reliability also requires a lot of tests for verify.
