Abstract/Summary:
With the advance of urbanization, the expansion of city size, the increasing of the number of city, environmental awareness of the public to strengthen and the increase in leisure time and life, as well as the values of the local ecological spirit regression, the people began to realize the urban coastal zone is an available resource, improving people’s quality of life as its the main social function. But, in the face of the coastal urban landscape construction accelerated, Chinese native landscape planning designers blindly absorb western city landscape design ideas, ignore mining Chinese traditional landscape ideology, so that Chinese traditional landscape ideology in contemporary urban landscape design of the lost, also caused the various coastal city landscape lack of regional characteristics of the situation.Urban coastal region is a range of the sea and land conterminous area within the city limits,which is characterized by the waters and the land together constitute the dominant factor of the environment; At the same time, it is the place with the most abundant and the most intensive natural resources in the city, also the most dramatic area ofhuman activities and urban human construction. However, due to the rapid development and construction of urban coastal areas, the project construction period is short, and the lack of a reasonable and effective planning and guidance, to produce a certain negative impact on the ultimate development of the city.Through analyzing the basis theory of Chinese traditional landscape which has a guiding significance to landscape planning and design, then stating the influence on the Chinese traditional landscape design and its referential significance for contemporary landscape design, then take the ancient West Lake landscape construction for example, elaborated traditional landscape construction method; then from the contemporary landscape design as the starting point, to understand the modern manifestation of the ideology of traditional Chinese landscape, and made the contributions and limitations of contemporary landscape design. Then this paper concluded to explain urban coastal landscape, parse the commonalities and differences between waterfront landscape, and then explore elements and their characteristics of the landscape of the urban coastal areas from the natural landscape, the artificial urban landscape, urban cultural landscape; finally pointed out the problems of contemporary urban coastal landscape and put forward the principles of planning and design. Final inheritance and carry forward Chinese traditional landscape thoughts respectively from the site investigation and the layout, conception make, and applied to contemporary urban coastal region landscape planning and design. Based on site investigation and the layout, conception make in traditional Chinese landscape, using contemporary design idea and method, respectively carry forward traditional landscape construction thoughts in five aspects:the overall landscape planning, landscape spatial organization, the city skyline control, view corridor control and hydrophilic space, in order to enhance the local nature of the coastal area of the city, to improve the quality of life of the people, to meet the needs of the general public and to promote the comprehensive goals of sustainable development.Though empirical research-Lianyungang coastal landscape planning and design in the last part of this paper, elaborated the application of the heritage and development of Chinese traditional landscape ideology in the Lianyungang coastal landscape planning and design, and summarizes the research results of this article, discussing some shortcomings and the need for further research content.
