Traditional Landscape System Of Quanzhou Coastal Area

Under the background of rapid urbanization,the rich and diverse local characteristics and folk culture accumulated for thousands of years are gradually disappearing,the traditional landscape features are gradually converging,and the uniqueness and identification of local culture and landscape are gradually blurred and disappearing,including Quanzhou coastal area.The traditional landscape system formed in the period of traditional agricultural society with distinct marks of marine commerce and military defense elements is being strongly impacted by the development of modernization.The research has far-reaching significance for exploring the composition and construction characteristics of regional landscape,exploring construction wisdom and contemporary value of traditional landscape system,and enriching the landscape types of small plains along the southeast coast in the territorial landscape.The traditional landscape of Quanzhou coastal area has certain particularity in the study of territory landscape in China.This paper takes Quanzhou coastal area as the research object,defines the time range as the period of Chinese traditional agricultural society,arranges the historical materials of Quanzhou by means of literature synthesis and field investigation,and uses Arc Gis software to build a database for image analysis.From the dual perspective,this paper analyzes the traditional landscape system constituent elements and characteristics in Quanzhou coastal area,enriches the research types of territory landscape in China,and then puts forward the protection and development path for the changes and problems of contemporary traditional landscape.It is expected that this study can provide suggestions for the protection and development of traditional landscape in Quanzhou coastal area and even the southeast coast of China.This chapter aims to sort out the background of the traditional landscape system in Quanzhou coastal area: combing the regional environmental basis from the four aspects of nature,economy,society and culture,clarifying the development overview of Quanzhou coastal areas in different historical stages,and combing the formation and development of China’s ancient seaports and coastal defenseFrom the regional perspective,taking the whole Quanzhou coastal area as the research object,combined with regional environment and historical development,this chapter analyzes the development context,constituent elements and spatial distribution of traditional landscape system from five levels: natural environment,production landscape,marine commerce landscape,coastal defense landscape and settlement landscape.Its characteristics are summarized as follows: natural landscape basement with alternating mountains and seas;rich and diverse types of production activities;marine trade with the characteristics of water land network and facilities landscape;coastal defense construction with the characteristics of hierarchical defense and strategically important terrain;settlement construction with coupling development and various types;regional landscape evolution with the characteristics of mutual promotion and dynamic continuity;distinctive regional traditional landscape in prosperous marine commerce area.From the city perspective,this chapter takes five typical historical towns of Quanzhou,Nan’an,Anhai,Yongning and Chongwu as the research object,combs the development process of each town,and analyzes the landscape construction contents and methods of the five cities from three aspects:mountain and water environment,urban landscape construction and landscape and artistic conception blending.Finally,it summarizes the characteristics of city traditional landscape system under the guidance of marine commerce and coastal defense from the two aspects of mountain and water relationship and city landscape construction,and then summarizes the similarities between the two types of cities in city-regional landscape construction.On this basis,this paper discusses the changes and problems of the traditional landscape system in Quanzhou coastal area,and puts forward four protection development paths: respecting the natural characteristics and continuing the landscape structure;revitalizing the business space and realizing the coordinated development of ports and cities;protecting military heritage and highlighingt military landscape;continuing the historical context and inheriting the spatial characteristics.Finally,the study comes to four conclusions: natural and cultural background with superior,profound and steady development;regional landscape structure with multi-layer superposition and close coupling;city landscape construction with borrowing nature and integrating culture;landscape development path with experience translation and ancient and modern inheritance.The innovation points are to explore the local traditional landscape system from regional and urban perspectives and propose development paths,to enrich territorial landscape achievements by taking Quanzhou as a sample,and to visualize the spatial relations of landscape elements by using multiple auxiliary analysis methods.
