There are many uncertain risks during the complicated construction process of subway engineering, which affects all stages of subway project. In addition, the domestic subway development time is shorter comparatively, and each engineering contractor is relatively not in adequate understanding of risks on the construction process. Risk management experience from abroad is not completely set for the subway construction in China. Therefore, in order to avoid the accident on the process of subway construction, causing a threat to the national economy and safety, it is of great significance to strengthen the subway engineering project risk management research. Therefore, on the basis of collecting, reading, sorting out and summarizing the extensive literature about project risk management at home and abroad, firstly, the paper does an in-depth study on the related knowledge of project risk and the identification method and process. And combined with the subway engineering, subway engineering project risk identification and analysis are studied. Then two emerging effective and widely used risk management approaches:WBS decomposition method and BIM method are analyzed with emphasis. Finally taking certain construction project of Beijing No.6subway X project as the background, practice research of its engineering project risk management is carried out, according to the actual situation of the project to make the identification and analysis of existing risk factors for the project, and so to develop appropriate risk response measures, while the application of WBS decomposition method and BIM method in subway engineering project risk management is explained briefly. The research results can provide certain reference for the subway project risk management to ensure the subway project to proceed smoothly and to operate safely.
