The problems of traditional high-way street lighting system have become increasingly prominent, such as the high power LED street lamps mostly driven by constant current, the luminous intensity of lamps has nothing to do with the environment brightness, illumination time or the number of cars, ect. That causes waste easily but device maintained difficultly. And this does not match the wisdom of lighting and green lighting. ZigBee technology with its large capacity and other characteristics is very suited for building a WSN Network. For this, an addressable LED street lamp intelligent monitoring system based on WSN designed here.Based on the analysis of the special nature of the highway street lighing network topology, the chain-based routing protocol network topologies are elaborated and studied based on ZigBee, and the appropriate routing algorithms for highway monitoring network topology is determined. The associated circuit of the addressable LED lights intelligent monitoring system is designed, including smart lighting circuit design and gate way design and software design and serial communication protocol design. Finally, by testing the system networking and instructions, experimental data indicates system reaches the expected results. The intelligent lighting is one of the characteristics of the system, which can achieve adaptive dynamic prediction lighting time period according to the environmental brightness.The system can realize the street lighting monitoring and management through making use of ZigBee technology, and can realize the running state of the street. The whole design can be separated into two parts:hardware design and software design. The hardware part includes the LED array and its driver circuit, using CC2530as system core microcontroller. Software design is based on ZigBee-Stack protocol stack, completing the information of WSN network, communication between nodes parameter staus acquisition and network nodes.
