When the existing infrastructure is fixed, the increase of transportation capacity can be realized by the reduction of the safe distance in train operation. So the safe distance has aroused much attention in the research of block system and obtained many research products. For this reason, the thesis studied the safe distance based on the moving block, and a optimization algorithm of safe distance and a adjustment strategy for trace running based on optimization algorithm are proposed. The simulation results show that the optimization algorithm can effectively reduce the safe distance in train operation, and the adjustment strategy can enhance the efficiency of train tracing, which help to improve the transportation capacity. This thesis mainly study on the following aspects:(1) The present technology of safe distance in train operation based on moving block is discussed. First, the generation process of train movement authority and the principle of calculating safe distance are analyzed. Second, the design principle and parameters calibration in each part of the present safe distance computing model are discussed.(2) Aimed at insufficiency of present technology of safe distance in train operation. Considering the braking distance of the preceding train with the safety permits combined with more information. The optimization algorithm of safe distance in train operation is proposed, and the optimization model based on the existing technology of safe distance is established at the same time.(3) To solve the problem of low-efficiency caused by the control difficulty when train tracing, an adjustment strategy for trace running based on the target point is designed. The first carried out feasibility of the adjustment strategy, in this based on the trace running adjustment model is built.(4) The optimization algorithm of the safe distance and the adjustment strategy for train tracking in train operation are verified by simulation. Feasibility of the optimization algorithm for shorting the safe distance is validated by modeling train operation with true data. The train tracing adjustment controller corresponding to the adjustment strategy is designed, and feasibility of the adjustment strategy for improving the train efficiency is verified by simulation.The results show that the optimization algorithm of the safe distance in train operation is effective to improve the passing capacity by shorten the safe distance, and the adjustment strategy for train tracking is effective to improve the train efficiency and keep train tracking in a steady state.
