In the urban rail transportation system, the signal system is the important equipment that safeguard the transportation safety and raise the operation efficiency. It has the very important status in the urban rail transportation system.In recent years, the rail transportion in our country implements the transport organization mode of "small grouping, the high density", has also introduced the advanced moving block signal system, for example the NO.1 line of Wuhan rail transportation, the NO.3 line of Guangzhou subway and so on. Compared with other signaling system, in the moving block signal system, the safe interval distance of the tracking trains is smallest, it reduces the tracing interval time of the trains, and could furthest enhance the line's transport capacity.This paper research the tracing operation of trains based on moving automatic block conditions, analyse the tracing interval time of the trains in the moving block system, establishes the mathematical model of the section tracking interval, station tracking interval and turn-around interval, proposes the bottleneck of enhancing the traffic density of the trains in the urban rail transportation system, and deeply discusses other factors that influence the train tracing interval, according to the request of the engineering design, safeguards that the train in front cannot affect the running status of the tracking trains in the normal operation process, and reasonably counts the smallest tracing interval that is the starting out time.Then, according to the hauling computation regulations, establishes the train movement computation model, and analyzes each kind of operating mode processing in the movement process of the trains. Finally, develops train tracking movement simulation system, counts each tracing interval, and take Guangzhou 4M grouping train as the example, simulates tracking movement processes of three trains on the test line, analyzes and obtains they movement paths, thus confirms the rationality and scientificalness of the train smallest tracing interval proposed in this paper.
