21st century is an age of information technology. It provides more implementation approach with the rapid development of Internet technology for warehouse monitoring system. Under the background of this topic, a solution based on embedded devices and ZigBee wireless of remote environmental monitoring in the warehouse is put forward.In order to achieve an intelligent, information-based warehouses’management, this project implements a monitoring system based on B/S mode. Users, who log in warehouse management system through distance mobile devices or PC, use the embedded gateway to send control commands to the ZigBee wireless sensor network. As long as the sensor network received the control command, corresponding sampled environmental parameters will be sent to the remote monitoring side. A real-time monitoring of the temperature, humidity and smoke in different location and indoor video surveillance are realized. In order to achieve the safety and effectiveness, a threshold is set up. When the value of collected parameters is out of the threshold, users will get alarmed.This paper is divided into hardware part and software part. In the aspect of software selection, considering the embedded circumstances, the OS is Linux. The server of this system is single task server BOA. The ZigBee network is set under the protocol stack TI provided. Ajax technology in web is used, which is able to dynamic display the collected environment parameter in the user interface through asynchronous Ajax refresh function.In the aspect of hardware, the processor of the highest performance and the most power efficiency based on the architecture is selected. The processor’s operating frequency is up to 1 GHZ, which is able to guarantee the safety and stability of system operation. Wireless sensor network is a new generation of SOC chip CC2530 of TI company, supporting IEEE802.15.4/ZigBee/ZigBee RF4CE standard. Receiver’s sensitivity and anti-interference ability, in which the wireless front-end rf transceiver is 2.4 GHz IEEE standard, ensures the accurate and efficient data acquisition and sending. The form of IP video stream transmission to the browser is advantageous for the user’s real-time view with the 720 p hd video monitoring camera and uvc driver.Through testing, the system can effectively and instantly monitor the warehouse environment parameters, implementing the function of intelligent terminal warehouse detection and video monitoring. It also achieves alert function while the threshold is went beyond. It has the advantages of being real-time, stable and convenient.
