With local culture as researchful core, this paper begin the study based on the theory of semiotics and classical Chinese domestic goods as the research case. By researching the reason why the public begin to pay attention to local culture, which comes from the social phenomenon of ‘the renaissance of classical Chinese products’, we realized the popularity degree and the precious value of Chinese local culture. Besides that, the blank state of academic research about Chinese local culture enlightens this research topic to study strategies and methods of Chinese local cultural products, which could help to provide more development directions and patterns for it and suggest more ways for Chinese local culture to inherit.So I begin the study with the concept research of Chinese local culture and Chinese local cultural products to explore it’s special significance and value from the view of design. By researching the relationship between Chinese local cultural products and classical Chinese products, we found out the Chinese local cultural products means a lot to the development of Chinese local culture. We found out that it’s the regression of Chinese confidence and the people’s concern about Chinese local culture cause the consumption boom of Chinese classical domestic goods. And then from the angle of semiotics, I analyze the Local cultural implications that lurk in the Shape symbol, Material symbol and Decorative pattern symbols of domestic products. The next step is to investigate what the public thinking about domestic products and it’s symbols, including the memory condition, the judgment of function,the possible development directions and the feedback of consumers. Eventually, according to the result of investigation, I get the final conclusion about the strategies of domestic products design.Through the study of this paper I get the final conclusion that local culture is an important part of Chinese culture, which has a unique cultural characteristics and the design expression methods. The domestic products symbols, as the a typical representative of the local culture in a particular period, has a very high local features, research value and enlightening significance, which brings new opportunities for Chinese native cultural goods. And Contemporary mass’ s cognitive judgment for classic home products as the core of the native culture symbol role mainly has three directions, including emotional memories, fashion personality, cultural transmission.
