| Under the background of new rural construction,the local culture originated from the countryside is facing the predicament of withering.It is an important way of cultural inheritance to integrate local cultural symbols into people-oriented product design.In the field of design,such as landscape and architectural design,extensive research has been carried out for the purpose of local culture inheritance and new rural style construction.The intervention of local elements in new rural macro style construction provides a new perspective for the integration of local culture in rural product design.Under the aging society,the elderly people in rural areas have become the focus of social attention.Taking the design of elderly products as an example,there are some problems,such as the lack of local cultural characteristics and the general and incomplete design and research focusing on the emotional needs of users.This paper attempts to take the local cultural symbols as the research basis,excavate the characteristics of the elements and significance of the local cultural symbols,clarify the value of the local cultural symbols,and explore the methods of integrating the cultural symbols in the design of new rural elderly products.First of all,starting from the current situation of new rural construction,the concept classification and development of rural elderly products,this paper points out that at this stage,new rural development attaches great importance to infrastructure construction,neglecting to explore the inherent beauty of the countryside,the lack of products designed specifically for the elderly,the single solidification of product design style,and the lack of regional cultural characteristics.Secondly,from the analysis of the concept,classification and characteristics of the local cultural symbols and the application cases in the field of design,this paper explores the unique value and effective methods of the integration of the local cultural symbols in product design,and points out that the integration angle of the local cultural symbols in landscape,architecture and space design is single,only focusing on the reduction and application of the local appearance elements,and lacking the excavation of the local cultural connotation Question.On this basis,Take Wuxi rural area as an example to carry out household survey,in order to explore the specific characteristics of the cultural defects of the elderly home products in rural areas,and then make clear which aspects of local cultural symbols are integrated into the design.Then take the old objects of Wuxi local culture,Huishan ancient town buildings and Huishan clay figurines as the research objects,and get the characteristics of different cultural archetypal symbol elements and meanings by analyzing and clustering the elements of local cultural symbols one by one.At the same time,the elderly users’ perception and preference test are carried out for the local cultural symbol elements after clustering.According to the perception test results,the integration needs of the elderly for the symbol elements are divided into emotional nostalgia,aesthetic experience and human feelings.According to the preference test results,the selection of the symbol elements that can be integrated into the product design is completed.Finally,based on the test results and previous insights,the design strategy of integrating local cultural symbols into the new rural elderly home life products is formed,which is composed of macro-control of local cultural symbols,integration of emotional symbols,integration of aesthetic symbols and integration of humanistic symbols.To sum up,the integration of local cultural symbols into the new rural elderly product design endows elderly products with emotional,aesthetic and humanistic significance.On the one hand,to meet the psychological and emotional needs of the elderly in rural areas,to create an atmosphere for the elderly to return to their roots;on the other hand,to add regional cultural characteristics to the product design of the elderly also contributes a small part to the construction of new rural areas. |
