The Fractal Theory Apply To Identify Certainty Factors In Accident Blackspots

The identification of the traffic accident causation is one important content of traffic safety research areas. Traditional identification method of the traffic accident causation is to treat the human factors as the main factor that leads to traffic accidents. However, this method weakens the effect which the defect of roads will give to the traffic accidents. Research has been done and shown that the root causations were the objective factors such as defective roads among lots of the traffic accidents which have been attributed to human factors. As a result, it’s necessary to do a research to the objective road factors.We mainly process the research with blow aspects.Present the necessity and importance to research the objective factor causations such as defective road, environment, traffic conditions etc by analyzing and summarizing the actual methods for traffic accidents causation. We get a conclusion that quite a few of the traffic accidents which have been attributed to human factors had a deep causation such as defective roads. Hence, we present applying the frontier theory based on nonlinear subjects to the research of the certainty causation of traffic accidents blackspots.Introduce the technical index, relative merits and application condition when applying direct method and indirect identification method to traffic accident blackspots. Present that due to driver’s different human perception to dangerous roads, we need identify the accident blackspots from the aspect of the human perception.Analyze the feature of accident blackspots and also do analysis to objective factors of its formation such as roads, environment, traffic condition etc to create an index system of traffic accident certainty causation.Apply the indicators to the fractal theory of accident causation, and judge their validity of the accident blackspots causation by analyzing the fractal dimension feature of the road property between frequent accident blakspots and non-frequent accident blackspots roads. At last, through case analysis, it can be confirmed that there exists diversity when using different indicators as accident blackspots causation.
