Research On Causation And Severity Of Expressway Traffic Accidents In Zhejiang Province

The expressway can effectively promote the economic development along the expressway.Under the background of China’s rapid economic development,the increasing number of motor vehicles,and the continuous improvement of the expressway network,the situation of expressway traffic safety has become more and more severe.At present,China’s traffic safety management department has accumulated a large number of original traffic accident data.However,the current research on traffic accidents is not thorough and comprehensive,and its potential information value is not fully tapped,which is not conducive to the establishment of a comprehensive analysis system of traffic accidents.By investigating and collecting historical data on expressway traffic accidents in Zhejiang Province,as well as vehicle operating speed,traffic flow,and alignment design data on typical expressway sections,the influence factors of expressway traffic accidents were analyzed from the aspects of driver,vehicle,expressway,and environment.The expressway traffic accident data was analyzed from the perspective of information collection,compared the technology and methods of traffic accident information collection between China and the United States.The paper preprocessed the traffic accident data through data preprocessing technology.The paper analyzed the traffic accidents distribution characteristics of time,form,weather,and cause by using theoretical analysis and mathematical statistical methods.The traffic accidents distribution characteristics of three types of typical expressway sections,such as interchange exit sections,tunnel sections,and continuous downhill sections,were analyzed.And the paper compared and analyzed several common cause theories and analysis methods of traffic accidents,expressway traffic accidents causation model based on principal component analysis was established,and the empirical research was conducted.The support vector machine method was used to establish a classification and recognition model of expressway traffic accident severity,and empirical research was carried out.Based on the analysis of the fatal accident and the results of the previous accident cause and severity analysis,corresponding preventive measures were proposed.Then the paper has completed the comprehensive analysis system of expressway traffic accidents.The research results of the paper can provide reference for the formulation of targeted prevention policies,it has some theoretical significance and practical value to improve expressway traffic safety level in Zhejiang Province and even in the whole country.
