China is in a period of rapid development of the expressway presently. However, the rapid development of expressway makes the incidence of traffic accidents increased significantly, people's lives and property security has been a serious threat. A detailed analysis of the expressway traffic accident can improve the traffic safety situation of the expressway.Firstly, the paper introduces the relevant knowledge of the traffic accident black spot and the cause of traffic accidents. At the same time, the data mining technology's great significance of traffic safety has been provided.Secondly, a comprehensive analysis made according to the system requirements of the expressway traffic accident black spot identification and causes analysis system. And the overall design of the system has been done.Thirdly, an identification method has been proposed and realized based on the analysis of many kinds of methods of identifying accident black spots, which is the combination of the accident frequency method and the equivalent total accident frequency method. The construction model of Expressway accident black spot recognition using DBSCAN clustering algorithm, and the validity of the model is verified by experimental data.Finally, researched the theory of association rule mining and analyzed the classical association rule mining algorithm Apriori algorithm and its existing problems, improved the Apriori algorithm combined with the characteristics of traffic accidents. The improved algorithm can be applied to traffic accident analysis, and the validity of the algorithm is verified by the experimental data.
