Freeway has the advantages of high speed,large capacity and low transportation cost.It is the major artery and plays an important role in promoting economic development along the route.Under the background of growing of mileage and traffic flow,freeway safety pressure is increasing and the situation is very serious.Freeway traffic safety is becoming a key issue of attention and exploration in the whole society.Currently,the traffic accident data in China is collected and managed by the traffic police.It is usually used for the statistical description of four indicators: number of accidents,number of injuries,fatalities and direct property loss.But the potential value has not been fully explored and reflected.In addition,the accident data has the characteristics of multi dimension,discrete and fuzzy,increase the difficulty of analysis.Data mining is a data analysis method to extract hidden,unknown,and potentially valuable concepts,rules and patterns from a large number of data.Data mining technology is used to analyze the highway traffic accident data,it is helpful for Excavating the potential value of accident data and providing theoretical support for freeway traffic safety improvement.excavate the potential value of the accident data and provide the basis for the improvement of the freeway traffic safety.The main purpose of traffic safety research is to avoid the occurrence of traffic accidents and reduce the severity of the accidents.Based on the features of Chinese traffic accident data and the key problems in data analysis,this paper buildings an analysis system of freeway traffic accident based on data mining.By applying data classification,regression and other theories related to data mining,we conducts an accident causation and accident severity analysis in order to deeply explore the interaction relationship between drivers,vehicle,road and environment.The main content of this paper as follows:(1)This paper summarizes the gap between China's road traffic information collection technology and developed countries and analysis the freeway traffic accident from information collection,data structure and distribution characteristics.In addition,this paper uses data preprocessing technology preprocess the accident data.(2)Based on the quasi-induced exposure theory and logistic regression,this paper establishes freeway accident causation model.Based on support vector machine,this paper establishes freeway accident severity classification recognition model.On the other hand,this paper uses freeway accident data to give an empirical analysis for two models,it can provides theoretical basis for reducing the incidence and severity of freeway accidents,improving the security level of the overall freeway traffic system.(3)Based on the results of model empirical research,this paper analyses influencing factors about freeway accident causes and severity from drivers,vehicle,road and environment.In the end,this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures from the aspects of engineering,education,management and first aid to reduce the freeway accident rate and the severity.
