School design plays an important role in education system. Sinceeither new construction or refurbishment of school projects are aims toprovide healthy, comfort, high-performance learning space for nextgeneration which coincides with the meaning of sustainability, therefore itmake sense to study how sustainable schools can be designed.Today, there are many problems existing in rural primary andsecondary schools, such as thin wall,high heat transfer coefficientwindows,big shape coefficient of building,which make the contradictionbetween architecture and environment increasingly serious. Therefore,countries have introduced relevant policies and measures to promote thestructure and layout of rural primary and secondary schools. After theadjustment, the new type of rural primary and secondary schools urgentlyneed to have the ecological concept of sustainable development of theschool, as well as green building design theories and methods tocoordinate.This paper, based on the climate characteristics of cold region inChina, researches several primary and secondary schools in rural areas of “Guanzhongâ€ï¼ˆbelonging to Shaanxi Province)according to the basicprinciple of green building design and the corresponding indexes of greenprimary and secondary schools that is included in 《green campusevaluation standard》. Then, the article analyzes the current situation ofrural primary and secondary schools in cold region, points out the existingproblems, provides some corresponding reform measures and a buildingdesign plan, puts forward the green building design methods of primaryand secondary schools in rural areas of cold region. This article is intendedto promote the green building design methods in the application of ruralprimary and secondary schools, and offer certain theory basis and practicalreference for the greenization and development of primary and secondaryschools in rural areas.The conclusion of this paper is indeed feasible for green buildingdesign theory of rural primary and secondary schools in cold region, and italso plays an important role in application of suitability technology andmethods. |
