As a type of public buildings,Education buildings play an important role insocial ethics cultivating and popularization of scientific knowledge, the rural primaryand secondary education buildings is the most widely distributed and the largestimportant proportion of the Education buildings. Meanwhile, primary and secondaryeducation is the basic link of the education work, assuming a key role in shaping thepersonality and habits of the behavior. The environmental comfort and design conceptprospective of the primary and secondary schools play an important role in User’slearning efficiency and health.Basic education in rural areas is an important part of China’s educationdevelopment strategy, at the same time, it is the important content of China’s newurbanization which can not be ignored. Focusing on ecological construction andlivable projects are the main features of the new urbanization, Intensives, intelligence,green, low-carbon should be implemented in construction of ecological civilization ofthe new urbanization. In this context, through a lot of field investigation in primaryand secondary schools in rural areas in Henan, the author combines Henan rural areasnatural and social conditions, around the "evaluation standard for green campus",proposed Green Campus design principles and methods for new rural primary andsecondary schools which is in line with the characteristics of Henan.This thesis consists of five chapters,the first chapter introduced the background,research methods, purpose and significance. The second chapter introduced thedevelopment of domestic and international green campus. The third chapterintroduces the field investigation and analyzes and summarizes the findings. The forthchapter proposed design strategy for green campus from land saving, energy saving,water saving, material saving, indoor environment and pollution control, and givesrecommendations for green campus management and educational outreach. The fifthchapter describes the Shangcai Second Senior High School design which is based ongreen green campus two-star standard, introduced a practical green campus designstrategies, and provided a reference for local and Henan green campus Design.
