The unloader landing project is one of the key projects in XJ port. The long constructionspan calls for great occupation of dump site, which will surely seriously hamper thefulfillment of the company’s yearly target plan. Under this context, on the premise ofassurance of the project quality, to shorten the project duration as well as to make use of lessport resources, finding for the best ways of project management and making use of advancedproject schedule control theory and method, which will jointly help control and make the bestproject progress plan, and then run the project with the aid of project schedule analysis theoryand corresponding security measures, are urgent and necessary.This dissertation takes the project of a new unloader in XJ Port as an example, by goingover the whole work flow and analyzing the specific characteristics of the project and therelative influencing factors, given the potential problems in the process of projectenforcement, puts forward reasonable suggestions based on critical nodes and critical factorswhich are found out by critical path and PERT. After reasonable data analyses, the possibilityof the shorten of the project time is discussed and suggestions on resources management andmanagement strategy are given on a wide range. It is thought that in the process ofconstruction work, efficient supervising plus corresponding protective measures will ensurethe project will be timely completed.From the actual implementation of the project, the adjustment of the project schedule, theoptimization of the control flow and the good use of the on-site resources, all help to shortenthe construction period by2days. Throughout the project, it’s found that there are effectivemonitoring and safeguarding measures and timely communication, and construction almostfollows the previously set project schedule, and there are no safety accidents and majorquality problems in the whole process. It’s thought that this project is of referentialsignificance for future similar projects.
