In Hotan region, Xinjiang region of the special natural geographical environment, culture, art, religion, and local Uyghurs living custom to create the traditional local-style dwelling houses building with the Xinjiang regional characteristics.Hotan region is located in the south of Xinjiang, is a drought, hot in summer and cold in winter, sand-prone areas. These factors contributed to the basic features of the building, such as adobe buildings, compiled fence wipe walls (sub fence wall) construction, etc. In the aspect of human environment, due to the ethnic composition, life custom, religion and various culture has influenced the type system for architecture, so these factors also has influenced the expression of building decoration in the building. In this paper, traditional local-style dwelling houses building in Hotan area as the research object,To existing examples as the basis of the natural environment and human environment as the main line, discusses the architectural characteristics and regional architectural culture of the traditional dwellings.I get a lot of information through repeatedly research, mapping, measuring, field mapping and other means, adopts a certain degree of theoretical research, field research, and regional comparison method describes the historical evolution of living forms of hotan traditional residential architecture. This paper roughly talk from the following four aspects:The first level building on the tradition in which the natural and human environment described above generally; The second level started to depth analysis of traditional dwellings, In the residential part through the single morphological analysis, using the method of sum up, several basic types of residential buildings are analyzed.
