Regional Expression Research Of Hainan Province Residential Building Design

At present, with the rapid development of economy and the speeding-up of thecity construction, regional architectural creation has become increasingly diversified.Respect for the environment, local history and culture, giving full consideration tothe regional characteristics has become one of the most important methods ofcontemporary architecture creation.In January4,2010, the State Council issued the "opinions on promoting theconstruction of Hainan international tourism island". Thus, the construction ofHainan international tourism island officially back on track. As a tourist city, theexhibition of its local character and culture is the biggest attraction for the tourists.What can be the most perceivable local character is the city "construction", whichreflects the history and culture of the city, the natural environment and geographicalfeatures. However, The focus of economic development in Hainan province today isthe real estate industry.in recent years, the emergence of a large number of residentialprojects, the emergence of a large number of these residential buildings, is slowlychanging the architectural image of Hainan province. For the international tourismisland as Hainan province, the development of its local housing construction needs tobe studied and conducted carefully.This paper tries to summarize and analyze the residential projects in Hainanprovince which are finished in recent years, and found that the present problems inresidential building of Hainan province. Aiming at the problems, the author sums upthe four influencing factors about Regional expression, and put forward the threeregional residential building design principles. On the basis of this, the paper studiesthe methods of regional architectural creation in Hainan province from the fouraspects: the traditional residence in Hainan, the local natural environment, the local materials and the suitable technology for building in Hainan. and then choose fourclassic case for further analysis.Finally, the author gives evaluation and prospect of Hainan regional residentialarchitecture, and putting forward the author’s own views on the development of thenew regional housing patterns in Hainan province.
