At present, the academic still study less on the traditional dwellings in Hotan area, due to various reasons, Hotan region local-style dwelling building forms are quietly changing, many buildings were destroyed, some are in the trend of disappearance. Therefore, the study of Hotan region local-style dwelling building is the request to protect the Hotan regional characteristic, also the continuation of the historical context of it. This paper mainly analyzes the artistic features and residential layout form of Hotan traditional local-style dwelling houses from the local residents living habits, religious beliefs and folk customs these instances.
