Study On The Types And Characteristics Of The Traditional Dwellings In The East Of Henan Province

This thesis belongs to the Henan Province Department of Education project to create a technology research based on the geographical features of the Henan local settlement ", Project No:2009B560013.It is hard to avoid that the Traditional Buildings with the area features,especially in traditional dwellings, to better reflect the local features. Located in the Central Plains,the Traditional Dwellings in all regions of Henan due to the natural environment, social environment and traditional building materials that create a different form of colorful and distinctive architectural forms and technology.The East of Henan Province located in the northern of Huang-Huai Plain, its traditional dwellings as an important non-renewable cultural resources has important significance.These traditional dwellings reflecting the plains east of Henan people’s cultural practices and aesthetic practices, and reflecting the social, economic, cultural and other geographical features of the plains east of Henan as well.In recent years, the architectural forms and creating technology of the traditional dwellings is gradually lost and "regional culture" gradually missing, Therefore, the construction of traditional dwellings as a source of regional culture, its description, collation, analysis and protection updates is increasingly important.This thesis through On-the-Sport Investigation and taking the case of the East of Henan Province--Kaifeng, Shangqiu and Zhoukou three cities and their surrounding areas for nearly936existing traditional dwellings of field survey and mapping,as well interviews with local traditional craftsmen, the anthor have a more comprehensive understanding for the traditional dwellings existing profiles, types and characteristics of the East Henan Province. On this basis,the anthor select style the typical examples of the Towers’ Dwellings conduct a detailed study.As People use the same or similar dialect, similar to engage in productive labor, share common beliefs and values, the heritage of consistent rules of the East of Henan Province,and heritage of the consistent construction technology and construction rules, so that there are more traditional residential areas of commonality characteristics of the traditional dwellings of the East of Henan Province.However, due to the economic development of different regions, economic status and cultural levels as well as the owner, status, and other aesthetic orientation is different, there are some differences of the traditional dwellings in the East of Henan Province.Therefore, the author through the method of multi-disciplinary analyzes, for comprehensive analysis and arrange of the Towers’ Dwellings and its characteristics,which is the typical of the traditional dwellings in the East of Henan Province.This can help understand the relationship between the traditional dwellings of the East of Henan Province with its geographical environment, explore the regional characteristics of traditional dwellings.Thinking and analysis the distribution,the causes of characteristics and the special cases caused by cultures, Then through the current situation facing of the traditional dwelling of the East of Henan Province, put forward possible protective measures.
